Frances Ponticelli had provided a high level of care for my in-laws several years ago. So I contacted her when my father required a live-in carer. She was very helpful and arranged a live-in carer despite dad living in quite a remote part of the country. To enable dad to get home from hospital, Frances even cared for dad in the first few days to bridge the gap before the main carer could start. She went the extra mile to help support the whole family during a very challenging time. This provided us with much needed reassurance and respite. We also appreciated the efforts Frances went to to secure another carer to fill a potential gap after dad’s main carer was due to have some leave, despite dad’s care needs being uncertain at the time. Dad’s main carer was very caring and patient with him. She had a good understanding of dementia, which helped her build and maintain rapport with him, despite his behaviour being challenging at times. She had a quiet, calm approach which worked well with Dad. She was trustworthy and reliable. Dad was always very complimentary about her, in particular her cooking and presentation of meals. We would definitely recommend Best Kind Of Care to others.

Frances’ management and selection of the carers was excellent.

She always seemed to be on top of things, there was never a gap in service, and everything ran incredibly smoothly, taking a lot of pressure off. The carers were both practical and compassionate and provided fantastic care to our father both through initial illness and then through the palliative stage. They were extremely flexible, never complaining about the increasingly long hours as our father’s needs increased and maintaining a positive approach throughout. We found them to also be very trustworthy, an essential quality when choosing live-in care.

Looking for the right kind of care for my Mum has been so challenging.

We are thankful to have been recommended “Best Kind of Care”. My mother is adamantly independent and finding the right carer was so important. Frances has managed to provide the perfect carers for Mum, they are companions who care, dance with her in the conservatory, take her out and without possibly her knowing giving her a healthy well balanced home cooked meal . It is so reassuring to know when we leave after a visit to think Mum is sitting down to watch her favourite program on TV with someone to chat and discuss things with along with the usual practical jokes! We could not have found better companions for Mum who truly care but also understand our concerns as a family for her well being. Best Kind of Care have provided like minded carers who share Mum’s interests and can enjoy quality time together. To be fair Mum is great company too!
